Laaga Chunari Mein Daag

The movie exhibits the tale of two girls from Banaras and their breathtaking voyage through life. Played by ravishing Rani Mukherjee and the very talented Konkona Sen Sharma, the film shows how they both, alone and unsupported in the midst of the urban jungle of Mumbai, battle the dark forces, fall in love, and change as people.

The music of the film is by Shantanu Moitra. Considering the music he has created in the past for movies like Parineeta and Lage Raho Munna Bhai, this one is mediocre in terms of freshness. The music seems situational and has the U.P. folk touch to it.

‘Jodha Akbar’-from the maker of Lagaan

The release of Ashutosh Gowarikar’s ‘Jodha Akbar’, which stars Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Hrithik Roshan in title roles, may be delayed.

The film that was slated for release around Diwali this year, is likely to get delayed and in all likelihood release in the first week of January 2008.
The mind-blowing glimpses of Ashutosh Gowarikar’s Hrithik-Aishwarya starrer, JODHAA AKBAR, were first unveiled at the 60th Cannes International Film Festival, a couple of months back. As is well known, it showed Hrithik (in his Akbar get up) fighting with an elephant. But not many were lucky enough to see it.

However, we now have good news for all those who have not seen it and are pining for it, especially fans of Hrithik Roshan.

The story is born out of his close association with children and his dream of narrating the story of a child’s world. He was originally supposed to direct the movie and Aamir was only involved as a producer and an actor but later Amol asked Aamir to take over the direction too. Amol is now the writer and the creative director of the movie while his wife, Deepa Bhatia, is the editor of the movie.We at BookEazy are especially excited as this is going to be our first showing of an Aamir Khan movie.
